DTAH was invited to provide an interim bus terminal for GO Transit on a site immediately east of Union Station in Toronto. The result is a vibrant pedestrian waiting environment year-round, with comfortable lighting, decorative pavement treatments, and trees to reinforce the site geometry.
Other elements include a landscaped median separating the bus circulation zone from nearby parking and loading areas, and a linear canopy connecting the two key components – the main entry, with a connection to the commuter train platforms above, and an enclosed passenger waiting area located centrally in the terminal.
